South Sydney coach Wayne Bennett's hopes of avoiding his first NRL league wooden spoon have been ladled another blow, with Jack Wighton handed a four-game ban at the judiciary

South Sydney coach Wayne Bennett's hopes of avoiding his first NRL league wooden spoon have been ladled another blow, with Jack Wighton handed a four-game ban at the judiciary

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

His bid has failed to overturn a grade-two shoulder charge which resulted in a head clash that knocked out Sharks prop Toby Rudolf on Saturday.

Wighton won't play for the last-placed Rabbitohs until their final-round match with the Roosters, potentially handing Lewis Dodd a reprieve in the halves.
