Expect a fitter, faster and refreshed Maia Wilson to be back in the mix for the Silver Ferns ahead of next year's Commonwealth Games

Expect a fitter, faster and refreshed Maia Wilson to be back in the mix for the Silver Ferns ahead of next year's Commonwealth Games

Along with outgoing captain Ameliaranne Ekenasio, the 27-year-old is one of five players to make herself unavailable for test series against South Africa and Australia in the latter part of this year.

A test debutant at 18, who's been part of most Ferns squads for the past decade - Wilson insists she has every intention of adding to her 52 international caps.

2026 will also see Wilson make a change at domestic level - switching from Auckland side the Stars to crosstown rivals the Mystics.
