Meghan, Duchess of Sussex toned down her make-up for the second series of her Netflix show With Love, Meghan

The royal has returned to screens with the new season of her lifestyle series and her longtime make-up artist Daniel Martin has revealed Meghan opted for a "lighter" look when it came to cosmetics

He told Vogue: "I just kept thinking about what my girlfriends would do if they're hanging out. Her make-up overall is a lot lighter than last season."

Daniel went on to explain the duchess has dry skin so he used Tatcha's Longevity Serum and Dewy Milk Moisturizer on her to keep her complexion hydrated throughout filming.

He also shared he used Orce Come Closer Serum Foundation and the Sarah Creal Face Flex Concealer and Complexion Enhancer as well as a Make Up for Ever eye palette in brown shades, Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream and Live Tinted's Blush Crush Liquid Blush.

Daniel went on to explain he used powder sparingly on the royal to make sure she had a "healthy" glow.

He told the publication: "You have to understand where you want to balance out skin tone ... Where to powder versus not powder. I wanted her skin to look like skin.

"So it's about having that healthy radiance but not looking too shiny or [too] matte [and] flat."

Meghan, 43, previously teamed up with online storefront ShopMy to share her top fashion and beauty picks with the royal revealing the products she loves and uses on a regular basis.

Meghan shared her list on the ShopMy site, writing: "A handpicked and curated collection of the things I love - I hope you enjoy them!"

Her beauty products list featured 25 items she swears including make-up such as the M.A.C. eyeliner in Teddy, SAIE's Glowy Super Gel, a foundation buy No Makeup Makeup and two shades of CND nail polish.

In a post on her Instagram stories, Meghan revealed she wore the polish during filming of the first season of With Love, Meghan' and offered advice on the application.

She wrote: "You've asked about my nail polish in With Love, Meghan. [Apply] one coat of each, plus [there are] a few of my other essentials. Enjoy!"
