Selena Gomez cried after her wedding fearing she could "die the next day"

The Only Murders In The Building actress has admitted she often struggles to enjoy the highs of life because she's scared it will "all go away", which included her recent nuptials with husband Benny Blanco

Speaking at Fortune's Most Powerful Women conference on Wednesday (15.10.25), she said: "I would say that's my biggest conflict sometimes when wonderful things happen.

"I got married and then I was sobbing because I was like, 'I'm gonna die the next day.' I just think that's a little life thing."

The 33-year-old singer and actress - who tied the knot with the music producer, 37, last month - confessed how she often finds herself "wrapped up" in her fears instead of embracing the moment.

Selena was responding after journalist Ellie Austin told her that her Rare Beauty brand was valued at more than $2 billion.

However, the star had insisted she didn't feel like she deserve to be in the room at the conference.

Explaining her outlook, she said: "This is how I work personally, but something great happens in my life, I expect something bad to happen. "So instead of being present and saying, 'Okay, wow, we've done a great thing,' which I do, I'm always thinking, 'Okay, but this could all go away tomorrow, so how can I make sure that doesn't happen?' "

Meanwhile, Selena recently revealed she hopes to have children "one day".

She shared her personal reaction to the revelation on the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place season two finale that Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) is the daughter of Selena's character Alex Russo.

The actress - who first starred in the sitcom in 2007 when she was just 15 years old - shared a clip from the show on her Instagram Story and wrote: "Alex Russo is a mommy [teary eyed emoji]. Hopefully one day that'll be me."

After the episode aired, Selena and Janice, 15, admitted the revelation had been emotional for them both.

In an interview on Disney Channel's YouTube page, Janice said: "It was very emotional, especially for me and her after the table read."

Her co-star added: "We were just puddles."
