Tyra Banks missed Victoria's Secret 2025 Fashion Show because she was promoting her Australian ice cream shop's new concept

The 51-year-old model walked the runway at nine Victoria's Secret shows before her modelling retirement in 2005, and the former Angel also strutted her stuff on the catwalk at the 2024 show

However, she was noticeably absent from this week's spectacle, which took place at New York's Steiner Studios on Wednesday (15.10.25).

Tyra has now told how she was busy Down Under promoting her ice cream shop SMiZE and Dream's Hot Ice Cream.

She told Entertainment Tonight: "I'm in Australia doing Hot Cream and stuff ... I don't know, we'll see."

Despite missing the iconic lingerie brand's epic show, Tyra admitted she has "a lot to thank" Victoria's Secret for, and confessed she probably wouldn't even have an ice cream shop if it wasn't for her work with the fashion company.

She added: "Victoria's Secret is an American staple and now a global institution.

"So I'm so happy it's back.

"And I probably wouldn't be sitting here talking to you about hot ice cream if it wasn't for what Victoria's Secret did for my career.

"10 years of being an Angel with them, you know? And being the first Black many things for them. And breaking down those doors and now seeing all that beautiful diversity.

"Like, following that door that we opened is so beautiful. So, I have a lot to thank [them for]."

However, Tyra had some Victoria's Secret misfortune in July - when her Angels Card was declined at a store in Los Angeles.

She explained on Today with Jenna and Friends: "I had a Free Angels card that the head of Victoria's Secret gave me.

"They were like, 'Forever. We love you so much. You have this card, and you can go to any shop forever and shop forever with no cap on it.' So I would get lingerie for myself, matching tops and bottoms, every collection that came out, I got it."

However, after Tyra rejected a new contract with Victoria's Secret, the benefit was soon taken away from her.

She said: "I was like, 'I don't want to. I want to be a talk show host. I don't want to do it.' And they let me have that Angel card for a year later and they said, 'Give it back, baby!' "

Asked if she'd ever consider working with Victoria's Secret again, Tyra replied: "I would do a deal if you gave me my card back. Let's start there. That's the most important thing. I want my card and then I have to represent the brand."
