Peter Crouch is proud that he made his eldest daughter an Oasis fan

The retired England footballer loves Liam and Noel Gallagher's band and he went to three concerts on the brothers' Oasis Live '25 reunion tour

Peter and his wife Abbey Clancy took their daughter Sophia, 14, to Oasis' gig at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland, on Saturday August 16 and the former Tottenham Hotspur player was delighted that his years of playing Oasis songs to her and her siblings had paid off.

He said: "It was class. I went over to the Dublin one, which was really incredible.

"I've got loads of friends over in Ireland, we had a good night. I took my daughter, as well, to that one. I've made her learn the songs since she was a kid. I knew all that effort was worth it."

Peter - who also has three other kids, Liberty, 10, Johnny, seven, and Jack, six, with model Abbey - also went to the end of the UK leg of Oasis' reunion tour at Wembley Stadium in London and he made sure he donned a bucket hat in keeping with the '90s vibe of the shows.

He added: "It's the only time I ever wear a bucket hat. It's got to be done."

During TNT Sports' live coverage of Aston Villa's 0-0 draw with Newcastle United in the Premier League on August 16, Crouch made a dash off-screen to make his flight to get to Oasis' show at Croke Park.

Presenter Lynsey Hipgrave teased her broadcast colleague by saying: "That's about all we have got time for, oh sorry, I have just been told we have got more time all of a sudden. We can carry on talking for a bit."

To which Crouch replied: "No, Lynsey, I am going to Oasis tonight, that's not happening. I've got a flight to catch."

His punditry partner Joe Cole the said: "Let the man leave. He's done his job. He's done enough."

Away from his TV punditry work and podcasts, Crouch can next be seen in a new Paddy Power Gaming advert along with Danny Dyer, Gemma Collins, Coleen Rooney airing across TV and online.
