A$AP Rocky has reignited speculation he and Rihanna have quietly married after referring to himself as her "husband" in a new interview

The 37-year-old rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, made the remark while speaking to Perfect Magazine.

He said: "Being a father and a partner and a loving husband in my family is what makes me really, really happy," referring to his life with Rihanna and their three children - RZA, three, Riot, two, and one-month-old Rocki.

Rocky added fatherhood and family life had become central to his identity and creativity.

He said: "That's what honestly does get me going: being able to express myself creatively, being able to be a family man and being able to be an artisan."

Both Rocky and Rihanna, also 37, have previously hinted they may already be married.

Speaking to Elle last month, Rocky was asked if he was ready to become a husband.

He replied: "How you know I'm not already a husband?" - before adding with a laugh: "I'm still not gonna confirm it."

In the same interview, Rocky spoke about his relationship with Rihanna and how they maintain a sense of normality despite their global fame.

He said: "We don't talk too much about work, because we deal with that all day, every day. When you come home, it's about family. It's about your relationship. It's about your household. It ain't about all that other s***."

The rapper and Rihanna pair began dating in 2020 after years of friendship and musical collaboration.

Rihanna, founder of Fenty Beauty, sparked engagement rumours in 2022 when she was seen wearing a large diamond ring on her left hand.

Their first child, RZA, was born in May 2022, followed by their second son, Riot, in August 2023.

Rihanna announced her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl LVII halftime performance in February 2024.

The couple recently welcomed their third child, a daughter named Rocki Irish Mayers, on 13 September 2025.

Rihanna confirmed the birth by posting a photo on Instagram, adding a pink bow emoji in the caption.

Rocky commented beneath her post, writing: "MY LIL LADIES," confirming the baby's sex.

Speaking to Elle, Rocky said the couple were "praying for a girl" during the pregnancy.

He said: "Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn't want to know. Third time, we don't want to know until, you know."
