Whitney Cummings is engaged to her partner Chris Cole but she's too "embarrassed" to talk about it

The 43-year-old actress/comedian has revealed the pro skateboarder got down on one knee to propose and she accepted but she's been keeping the happy news quiet - and admits her engagement got off to a rocky start after Chris suggested they celebrate with a dinner at fast food chain Pizza Hut.

During an appearance on the Good For You podcast, Whitney said: "I got engaged last week. And I don't know how to tell anyone!

"'I'm embarrassed to even talk about it and I'm just trying to get it out of the way."

She went on to recall the proposal and the "awkward" moment afterwards, saying: "It's so awkward, you're kind of just like: 'Okay cool, now what?'

"I was like: 'Should we just go to dinner or something?' Of course he had no plan afterwards.

"As soon as he got the ring on, he's like: 'I never have to try and impress you again!' And then I was like: 'Well should we go get dinner or something?' And he was like: 'Yeah, yeah, yeah. Should we go to Pizza Hut?'"

Whitney was then asked if they did end up going to Pizza Hut and she joked: "I haven't spoken to him since."

Chris is believed to have popped the question last month during a hike in Topanga Canyon, California. The couple are said to have been dating since May.

Whitney was previously engaged to Miles Skinner but they parted ways in 2020.

She went on to become a first-time mother in 2023, welcoming a son named Henry, but she has not confirmed the identity of her little bot's father.

Whitney previously revealed she battled postpartum depression after giving birth.

During an appearance on TODAY with Jenna Friends, she said: "I am excited to be here now because I feel like I am out of the woods in the postpartum depression thing.

"Before you have a kid, you are like: 'Really? Like, is it supposed to be the happiest time of your life? Why are you depressed? Pick a lane!'

"When you Google it or go to doctors, they literally say: 'We don't know the cause of postpartum depression'.

"I am not a doctor. I have a couple of ideas what could have caused it. Could it be the fact you are going bald?

"Your hairline moves back two inches, your gums start bleeding when you brush your teeth? My ankles fully look like a map of the New York subway."
