A personal best for kiwi pole vaulter Imogen Ayris at a World Athletics indoor meet in France

A personal best for kiwi pole vaulter Imogen Ayris at a World Athletics indoor meet in France

Ayris has posted a best effort of 4.70m, bettering her previous best of 4.67m set nearly a year ago.

She finished second on countback, with Frenchwoman Marie-Julie Bonnin winning the crown by virtue of making fewer attempts at the earlier heights.

Ayris wasn't the only New Zealander on the podium, with Olivia McTaggart finishing third with a best vault of 4.60m.
