Gary Numan's wife has been left paralysed following an operation

Gemma Numan took to Instagram to reveal she had an op on her cervical spine on December 11th, which resulted in her left arm being "paralysed straight away", but she praised singer Gary for looking after her.

She wrote: "Ok so here's a couple of pics of @garynuman my husband who's looked after me this whole time since we got to uk on 4 th Dec , I had an operation on my cervical spine 11 th Dec, paralyzed left arm straight away ! It's one of the sad things that can happen ! But with physio and no gravity I've managed to move my c6 nerve area which is my lower arm n biceps, more but my c5 nerve are which is shoulder and deltoids , I've got nothing , ! I bought a little travel paint kit to cheer myself up! Get back cried n realized I can't use it cos I'm left handed! So I tried, by turning the paper round all the time ! It's s**t but that's with my lead hand which is now not really working with any control! so poop! I love dildo numan and Marilyn Monroe my kids and animals! I want to see gorillas in Rwanda! I've tried with gary for 3 years! It's a hard no from him so poop xxx but he has been bored s***less with so much looking after me and it's all my fault he's fallen behind on all things numan again to look after me! Thanks dill I love you xxsoooooooo much xx (sic)"

Gary is set to perform on The 80s Cruise from February 27 to March 6, which sets sail from Port Canaveral, Florida, and Gemma admitted she will be "really sad" without him at home to look after her.

She added: "I'll b really sad without u here xxx when ur cruising! I really wanted to swim with the pigs xx I love you @garynuman (sic)"

Last November, Gary was left devastated following the death of his brother John.

The music veteran's younger sibling collapsed in the early hours of the morning - after the brothers had spent the evening catching up -and passed away in hospital hours later.
