Police are investigating a sudden death in Auckland's Taupaki last night

Police are investigating a sudden death in Auckland's Taupaki last night

Officers were called to a shared driveway off Nixon Road around 9pm - and found a man in his 50s dead next to his motorbike - after he'd been riding it.

Police say the circumstances aren't suspicious - but they'll make further enquiries to determine how the man died and whether he'd been involved in a crash.

A post-mortem will be carried out.
