The Baseus Blade charging station features two AC outlets, three USB-C ports, and a USB-A port. | | | PC World - 12 Apr (PC World)We could all use a bit of extra storage space, right? Whether for storing important files or transferring data between devices, a fast portable SSD is something everyone should have—multiples of them, if possible.
And with consumer tech prices expected to rise in the aftermath of Trump’s tariffs, there’s never been a smarter time to jump on a hot SSD deal like this one: Crucial’s X10 Pro (1TB) is now just $102 on Amazon, a solid 32% discount off its $150 MSRP.
Don’t think the Crucial X10 Pro is being discounted because it’s an underperformer. In fact, it’s plenty fast and a great choice for everyday users, with it being one of the fastest 20Gbps models we’ve tested. When we reviewed it, we gave it a 4.5-star rating and our Editors’ Choice award, appreciating its super-thin form factor, IP55 dust and water resistance, and solid performance. “If you want top-flight real-world performance and can’t use, or don’t want to pay for Thunderbolt 3, then the Crucial X10 Pro is what you want.”
This is a durable, high-capacity, travel-friendly portable SSD that’s perfect for storing data, transferring files, and recording high-res video directly to the drive. And when I say this portable SSD is tiny, I absolutely mean it. It’s smaller than a credit card and it fits right in the palm of your hand. Afraid you’re going to lose it? No worries, because it has a little hole in the corner where you can loop in a lanyard.
Go ahead and snag the Crucial X10 Pro for just $102 while this limited-time deal lasts. If you miss it, you might be able to grab it at Best Buy instead, where it’s currently on sale for the same price. Need something even better? Check out our picks for the best external drives.

| | | PC World - 12 Apr (PC World)There’s a big difference between the best laptop and the best laptop for you. If you’re like most folk, you don’t need the latest and greatest with all the bells and whistles. Buy a mid-range laptop that’s better suited to your needs, then treat yourself with the cash you saved!
Here’s a fantastic option for most everyday users, especially now that it’s on sale: the Samsung Galaxy Book4 is powerful, travel-friendly, and only $600 at Best Buy right now. That’s a significant $300 discount off its original price, making it a no-brainer.
The key specs in this laptop are great for the price: an Intel Core 7 150U processor that’s plenty fast and capable of handling your work tasks, web surfing, creative hobbies, and light gaming; 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM that’s enough to run Windows 11 Home (included) plus other apps without choking; and a decent 512GB SSD for storage.
The matte 15.6-inch display with a 1080p resolution promises gorgeous colors and contrast, although with just 300 nits of brightness it won’t be the best screen for working outdoors. With only 60Hz of refresh and basic Intel graphics, it isn’t great for gaming. That said, it’s pretty portable, weighing 3.46 pounds and measuring 0.64 inches thick.
At just $600, this Samsung Galaxy Book4 is an absolute bargain of a productivity laptop. Snag this deal while you still can!

| | | PC World - 10 Apr (PC World)A daily driver laptop is what most of us need for work and leisure, and we always want to grab one that’s affordable yet powerful. If you’re in the market for such a laptop, here’s a sweet deal to pounce on: Acer’s Swift Go 14 laptop is only $649 at B&H. That’s a massive $300 off!
With an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor, a decent 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage, this is a fast and capable machine that can handle all things work-related, plus it can stream high-res video and even do some light gaming. Don’t push it too hard because it doesn’t have a dedicated graphics card, but the integrated Intel Arc graphics are good enough if you’re willing to compromise on settings.
While the 14-inch screen may not seem very large, it is a touchscreen. That’s great for convenient finger navigation, which comes in handy for reading PDFs, browsing the web, etc. And it all looks crisp with its 1920×1200 resolution, but the 60Hz refresh rate leaves something to be desired—it’s merely adequate for light gaming.
The Acer Swift Go 14 comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, which isn’t too common on laptops in this price range. These are super-fast USB-C ports that can transfer files in a flash and handle video display for external monitors. You also get two USB-A 3.2 ports, a full-sized HDMI 2.1 port, a headset jack, and a microSD card slot. That’s a pretty darn good offering for a productivity laptop.
We tested the Acer Swift Go 14 and had nothing but praise for it: “It’s true that the Swift Go 14 isn’t the most high-end luxurious model you can buy, but it’s not trying to be either. It’s a travel workhorse. Strong enough to get you through everyday tasks, whether that’s Office apps or checking email, and light enough not to weigh you down.”
At $649, the Acer Swift Go 14 is an absolute bargain and you should definitely add it to your cart sooner rather than later because awesome deals like this tend to come and go fast.
