A Dargaville funeral home is still holding on to the body of a man who died in July, and the Funeral Directors Association says it shows it`s time for a law change. Thomas Brugman died in mid-July at Dargaville Hospital. A social worker contacted local funeral home Hart Funerals, asking for him to be transferred there until next-of-kin could be found to give instructions on what should happen. Hart Funerals general manager Gary Taylor was told two days later that no next-of-kin could be found.
