Dilworth School has allocated nearly 44-million-dollars for sexual abuse victim redress

The school's filed with the Charities Register to set aside the funds for about 250 students who suffered abuse since the 1950s.

Payments are to be individually capped at 300-thousand dollars for "the most exceptional cases".

An audit note from KPMG says Dilworth's provision is subject to change -- given the magnitude of claims can't be determined.

It hopes to make its first payments to victims in the first quarter of 2024.
