Northland to Taranaki, Taumarunui and Taupo, also Coromandel and Bay of Plenty
Showers, some heavy, with possible thunderstorms for Waitomo, Taranaki and Taumarunui this afternoon and evening.
Gisborne and Hawke's Bay
Rain with heavy falls, easing to showers this morning. Showers clearing this afternoon.
Whanganui to Wellington, also Wairarapa
Rain at times, turning to showers this afternoon, some possibly heavy until evening.
Buller, Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury.
Periods of rain, possibly heavy in Buller, Nelson and Marlborough.
The Grey District and Fiordland
Mainly fine. Brief afternoon rain for the Grey district.
Southland and Otago
