    Raukumara to Ruahine Forest Parks, and Tongariro
    Cloudy periods. Isolated showers, clearing this evening but returning tomorrow afternoon.

    Remaining North Island areas
    Fine. Cloudy periods with a few showers from tomorrow morning.

    WINDS
    Southeasterlies, dying out tonight.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    About 2800 metres, rising to 3500 metres tomorrow morning.

    Kahurangi National Park
    Partly cloudy with isolated showers, clearing to fine this evening. Cloud returning tomorrow evening.

    Richmond and Kaikoura ranges
    Fine, then cloud developing tomorrow evening.

    Remaining mountains
    Partly cloudy with isolated showers turning to rain south of Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park by tomorrow morning, but easing in the evening around Fiordland.

    WINDS
    Westerly or northwesterly, strong at times in exposed places.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    About 3400 metres, lowering to 2700 metres tomorrow morning around Fiordland.
