    Raukumara to Kaweka Forest Park
    Showers, with snow to 1000 metres, clearing early this morning then becoming fine. High cloud developing in the evening.

    Tongariro National Park and Egmont National Park
    Cloudy increasing this morning and a few showers developing from west then turning to rain overnight.

    Tararua Forest Park and Ruahine Forest Park
    Cloud increasing this morning and a few showers developing about the western slopes of Tararuas from afternoon.

    WINDS
    Northwesterlies, rising to gale in exposed places this afternoon and evening.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    1400 metres rising to 1800 metres this afternoon and evening.

    Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes National Parks
    Often cloudy. Isolated showers, turning to rain this evening. Snow to 1500 metres.

    Kaikoura ranges
    Fine but cloud increasing this afternoon and rain developing at night.

    The Southern Alps
    Showers, mainly in the west with snow to 900 metres at first. Rain developing in the west this afternoon with heavy falls, scattered falls spreading east from afternoon. Snow rising to 1400 metres.

    Mt Aspiring and Fiordland
    Scattered showers, with snow possible to 900 metres. Rain developing this morning with heavy falls, easing to showers in the evening. Snow to rising to 1200 metres for a time.

    WINDS
    Northwesterlies rising to gale or severe gale in exposed places , changing westerly in the south this evening.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    1200 metres rising to 1600 metres then lowering to 1200 metres in the south this evening.
