Northland Fine and cloudy periods. A few showers, mainly northerly of Whangarei.
The remainder of the North Island Mostly fine, apart from areas of fog and frost this morning. However, a few showers also developing in Taranaki and Coromandel this afternoon, and from Horowhenua to Wellington tonight.
Nelson and Marlborough Partly cloudy. Isolated showers about Nelson this afternoon and the Sounds this evening.
Buller and Westland Mostly cloudy with isolated showers developing this morning.
Canterbury and North Otago Cloudy, then becoming fine this afternoon. However areas of cloud return this evening.
Fiordland, Southland and the remainder of Otago Cloudy with isolated showers about the south coast. Mainly fine elsewhere, apart from areas of morning low cloud or fog.
Chatham Islands Mostly cloudy with some light showers.
