Whanganui and Taihape to Wellington
Mostly cloudy. Scattered rain developing tomorrow afternoon or evening.
Gisborne to Wairarapa
Cloudy periods. A few spots of rain tomorrow evening.
Buller to Fiordland, Nelson, also Marlborough excluding the Kaikoura Coast
Cloudy. Occasional rain becoming persistent this evening, with heavy falls.
The Kaikoura Coast, and Canterbury
Cloudy with patchy drizzle today. Scattered rain tomorrow, especially north of Ashburton.
Otago and Southland
Mostly cloudy. Scattered rain in Otago, spreading to Southland tonight. A few spots of rain tomorrow, clearing later.
Chatham Islands
