The country's construction costs could improve - following a 44-percent average rate increase over the last four years

    21 February 2025
A study by Property Services Company QV reveals building-related charges such as materials and fuel increased by 47-percent in Dunedin.

Wellington saw the largest average, increasing by 900-dollars per square metre.

Spokesperson Simon Petersen says they're currently doing their latest quarterly update.

He says the early signs are good and pointing towards a flat quarter - which means there will be more confidence when planning building work.
