    Hopes other nations could help make up the shortfall from the surprise US tariffs

    New Zealand has been slapped with a 15-percent tariff rate, while Australia have just 10-percent.

    The Meat Industry Association, estimates the sector could pay more than 150-million dollars in annual export tariffs.

    Chief Executive Sirma Karapeeva , says some companies may take their business elsewhere.

    She says there are many markets which seek New Zealand products.
