Job ads mentioning options to work from home are dropping

Job ads mentioning options to work from home are dropping

    17 March 2025
Seek data, shared with BusinessDesk, shows remote-working listings peaked at 10.3 percent in September 2023.

They then steadily fell to 7.5 in December last year.

Seek Senior Economist, Blair Chapman, says the figure rose to 8.4 in January, but he expects ads offering working from home will drop further.

Public Service Minister Nicola Willis directed department bosses to tighten up on working-from-home arrangements in September.
