Kelly Stafford got "a lot of heat" for her criticism of Taylor Swift

The internet personality previously admitted to being "tired" of seeing Taylor - who is dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce - on TV screens all the time, and Kelly has now revealed that she received some fierce criticism from fans of the pop star

    11 February 2025
Kelly - who is the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford - told Us Weekly: "Honestly, I did get a lot of heat from them. I was like, 'Whoa, I love Taylor.'"

Kelly then tried to clarify her previous comments.

She explained: "When you're constantly seeing someone on your social media every scroll, you kind of lose that love, you know? That's what I was saying. I was like, 'I'm seeing her every second, I'm never wondering about what she's doing.'"

Kelly previously suggested that Taylor's presence was overshadowing some NFL games.

She said on the 'Morning After' podcast: "It was a good business decision for the NFL, but I almost felt like it was outshining the games. And that's what bothered me."

Travis has become one of the most talked-about athletes in the world since he started dating Taylor, and Patrick Mahomes - Travis' teammate - previously claimed that the pop star has helped to make the Chiefs a "worldwide team".

Patrick, 29, told Time magazine: "[The Chiefs] went from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a full global worldwide team. That came from Taylor's fanbase."

Patrick also admitted to being wowed by Taylor's work ethic.

He shared: "I've met a lot of famous people now in my life. Taylor's probably the most down-to-earth person that's been on that stage for that long.

"She's never not working. Even when she's taking her downtime, she's working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song. You can see it by how she talks."
