Phoenix men's coach Giancarlo Italiano is stoked with the courage epitomised by Kosta Barbarouses in turning their season around

Phoenix men's coach Giancarlo Italiano is stoked with the courage epitomised by Kosta Barbarouses in turning their season around

    29 December 2024
The All Whites striker helped overcome a three-game losing streak with an outrageous goal in just the second minute of the 2-1 win over the Newcastle Jets in the Capital.

Italiano says Barbarouses intercepting a pass on the halfway line and then having a long-range shot was brave.

After nine rounds the Nix are up 8th on the A-League table, which Auckland FC is leading by four points.
