A Kiwi negotiation team's in India this week, holding our first in-person Free Trade Agreement talks

    5 May 2025
Trade Minister Todd McClay's says it's an important step in our relationship with one of the world's fastest growing economies.

He says this'll be the first of many meetings with New Zealand.

McClay says India is also holding talks with the US, UK, EU and others - this week and the next.

He says that's why he sent a team now, instead of trying to get them to get here or missing out on the opportunity altogether.
