Police are vowing to have a strong presence in Central Hawke's Bay for a large gang gathering

Police are vowing to have a strong presence in Central Hawke's Bay for a large gang gathering

    1 June 2025
They expect gang members to meet at a marae, away from main roads over the weekend - but anticipate many to travel around the area - particularly this morning.

Hawke's Bay Area Commander Lincoln Sycamore, says officers plan to minimise disruption to residents and holidaymakers.

He says they've spoken to organisers and encourage attendees to respect the community.
