Julia Fox would drop everything to be in anything Charli XCX does

The 'Uncut Gems' star - who inspired the line 'I'm so Julia' on Charli's 'Brat' hit '360' - would love to team up with the 32-year-old pop superstar again on future projects

    5 February 2025
Speaking to Variety on the red carpet at the Grammys in Los Angeles on Sunday (02.02.25), Julia started by explaining that the reason behind her donning yellow latex cleaning gloves to the bash was that she expected Charli to "sweep" the board and in case she needed "a hand" carrying her trophies.

Charli - who ended up taking home the Grammys for Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Recording Package for 'Brat', as well as Best Dance Pop Recording for 'Von Dutch' - is making her feature film debut in a remake of the 1978 cult horror film 'Faces of Death' and has other film projects in the works and Julia would love to act alongside her.

Talking about working with the 'Guess' singer again after she appeared in her music video for '360' and inspired the lyrics, Julia said: "Anything she wants me to be part of, I'm there."

Asked why she is "so obsessed with Charli", she replied: "Because she is a real one. She is a real one. The fact that she's taken all of her girls to the Grammys, like, I have no business being here, come on!"

Julia also spilled that she has several movies and a TV show in the works, and she is focused on making her own original content.

Asked what she has coming up, she said: "In all seriousness, I am developing a TV show, I have so many movies in the works. What I really want to do is develop my own scripts and my own movies so, financiers, hit me up.

"I have amazing casts, I have amazing stories, they are crazy; they are out of this world."

Quizzed on a specific genre she wants to do, she said: "It's definitely like a dark comedy, like a dramatic, dark comedy. Definitely has to be funny, but not in like a forced, cheesy way."

The interviewer suggested: "[Like] Uncut Gems?"

The 35-year-old star - who had a whirlwind romance with Kanye West following his split from ex-wife Kim Kardashian in 2022 - replied: "Yeah, exactly, kind of a similar tone, but a more feminine version of that, you know, but that is really my vibe."

She continued: "Nothing beats real life; I think telling true stories is the way to go."

Julia added: "Life is so crazy and I think we keep hearing a lot of the same stories.

"Listen, we don't want any more reboots, Hollywood, we don't want remits, we don't want the sequel, we want new, fresh content that speaks to the youth and the people of today, okay?"
