Jude Law would only revisit his role in The Holiday if director Nancy Meyers is involved

Like Meyers, the 52-year-old actor was unaware about a new Apple TV+ limited series based on the 2006 rom-com festive classic, and admits he has no plans to return as Graham

    20 September 2025
He told Craig Melvin on the Today show: "You know, I heard about it. I know nothing about it. Nothing, other than I don't think I'm in it. I don't know.

"I think Nancy wrote to me and said, 'Have you heard about this?' Literally."

Law has no idea if his character will appear in the series.

Quizzed on whether he'd reprise the role, he insisted: "Nancy Meyers would have to be involved. She was the magic that brought all that together."

The new series will be written and ex ecutive produced by Krissie Ducker with help from Rob Delaney.

No cast details are known at this time.

Meyers claimed she was not made aware of the series, reacting on her Instagram Stories: "News to me.

"Imagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw."

The beloved movie sees two heartbroken women, Amanda [Cameron Diaz] and Iris [ Kate Winslet] swap homes and lives before falling in love with Graham and Miles [Jack Black], respectively.

Meyers has previously denied rumours of a sequel and recently admitted she never expected the flick to become a timeless Christmas classic.

The filmmaker told the Hollywood Gold podcast: "I never thought it would be, you know, a movie that you watched during the holidays.... Didn't think of it that way.

"I just really wanted to tell the story about these people. I set it at Christmas because that can be lonely. As I noted to myself last night while I was watching, they're all damaged."
