    Fire crews have extinguished two fires along the Waimakariri River bank in Canterbury

    22 February 2025
    Fire and Emergency New Zealand says, at its peak, 16 crews were tackling the blazes near Downs and Diversion Roads.

    A spokesperson says the fires were out by 8:30 and 9pm respectively.
