The Government's giving 30 million dollars to build a high performance sports hub in Upper Hutt

The Government's giving 30 million dollars to build a high performance sports hub in Upper Hutt

    6 August 2020
It'll be a base for Wellington Rugby, The Phoenix and Baseball NZ.

Sport and Recreation Minister Grant Robertson says it's part of a wider project to repurpose the old Central Institute of Technology.

He says the hub is designed to be a world-leading shared service for a range of sports, and its construction will create 244 jobs.
