The Transport Minister says we need to go all out in transitioning to electric vehicles

The Transport Minister says we need to go all out in transitioning to electric vehicles

    27 April 2025
The Government's switched from grants to interest free loans, which can be used to cover half the cost of building a charger.

It wants to have 10 thousand public chargers by 2030 with an initial investment of 68.5 million dollars.

Transport Minister Chris Bishop, says that won't be enough for the full goal.

He says it will need more funding, but that's a decision to made during future budgets.
