The US company trying to takeover Kiwi tech firm Rakon plans to keep its presence here

California-based electronics manufacturer Bourns has made an offer for the Auckland-based manufacturer of highprecision microchips and frequency-control components.
The bid's worth 356 million dollars.
Rakon independent director Chris Swasbrook says Bourns has indicated it would keep Rakon's New Zealand operations in New Zealand.
He says that's the intent, and what's been said to Rakon's shareholders and staff.
