Qantas will return investors up to 450-million-dollars - with earnings heading sky-high

Qantas will return investors up to 450-million-dollars - with earnings heading sky-high

    26 February 2026

    Air New Zealand
    Air New Zealand
Its pre-tax profit ended at almost 1.5 billion dollars for the six months to December 31 - up about five percent from the last financial year.

It recorded 925 million dollars after tax, on revenue of 12.9 billion-dollars, which grew just over six per cent.

Qantas is sheeting it back to stable costs and strong demand.

Meanwhile, Air New Zealand's announced a loss of 59-million-dollars before tax for the same period, blaming sluggish domestic demand and increasing costs.
