Confirmation more jobs will be cut at the Office for Crown Maori relations

Confirmation more jobs will be cut at the Office for Crown Maori relations

    12 December 2024
Te Arawhiti has finalised plans to disestablish 49 roles - 28 already vacant - and create nine new ones.

The office will focus on resolving Treaty of Waitangi claims and Marine and Coastal Area determinations.

Other functions are being transferred to the Ministry of Maori Development Te Puni Kokori.

Staff impacted by the cuts will have the first option to apply for new roles in the restructure.
