Groups in Auckland's Avondale say they want more say on the future of the area's iconic racecourse

Groups in Auckland's Avondale say they want more say on the future of the area's iconic racecourse

    20 February 2025
There's a proposal to develop it for housing.

A coalition of local groups believe there hasn't been enough consultation.

They're concerned about the loss of green space and sports fields.

The groups presented at today's Policy and Planning Committee.

Committee Deputy Chair, Angela Dalton, says it's good to hear from the groups who raised a lot of good questions that need to be discussed.
