Health New Zealand's on the hunt for a new chief executive, while it attempts to tackle its debts

    11 January 2025
BusinessDesk reports the Government agency reported a deficit of 722 million dollars for the last financial year in December.

Current CEO, Margie Apa, has been in the role since 2021 when Health NZ was established to replace the 20 district health boards.

Her contract is due to expire in June.

Health NZ Commissioner Lester Levy says the appointment process is open - with the process likely to take three to four months.
