Felicity Jones' sense of danger is "so much stronger" after having her children

'The Brutalist' star has a four-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter - whose names have never been released publicly - with her husband Charles Guard, and she has admitted that ageing has made her feel more on edge when doing simple daily tasks

    2 February 2025
She told Jessie and Lennie Ware on their 'Table Manners' podcast: "I think you just get more insecure as you get older, don't you? I used to never have a problem going in an airplane, and now I'm listening to meditation apps.

"I'm jittery. I think it's having children. I think suddenly your perceived sense of danger is so much stronger."

And Felicity admitted she is "very" superstitious.

She said: "I don't like walking on cracks and pavements. Yeah, I am very (suspicious). I mean, it's trying to find some control in a world of chaos."

Despite her cautious nature, the 41-year-old star still went snowboarding after learning the winter sport for 2011 movie 'Chalet Girl' - but quickly returned to skiing after falling flat on her face.

She said: "I had to learn how to snowboard... I did do it a bit [afterwards]. I went not long after I shot 'Chalet Girl'.

"And in my head, I thought it was going to be so good. And then the moment I came off the lift I wobbled and fell flat on my face, and then consequently, throughout the whole time, kept falling over.

"And after that, I'd done a little bit of skiing when I was younger. So I went back to skiing."

Felicity has been nominated for the Best Supporting actress accolade at the upcoming Academy Awards and she joked her loved ones will have to "fight it to the death" to be her guest for the glitzy event.

She laughed: "Everyone will have to fight it to the death to work out who is going to be the guest."
