The late My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar's cause of death has been ruled as undetermined, according to an autopsy report

The rocker, 44, was found dead in his home in November 2024 and it's now been reported by TMZ papers probing what was behind his passing showed he was discovered next to three large canisters of nitrous oxide

    7 March 2025
Antidepressants were also found at the scene, the outlet said about the contents of his autopsy report.

While the medical examiner on the case suspected an "intentional or accidental overdose", due to the state of Bob's body, the cause and manner of death were "best classified as undetermined", the report stated.

Authorities told TMZ Bob's body was found on 26 November, but he had last been seen alive on 4 November.

A representative for My Chemical Romance said at the time: "The band asks for your patience and understanding as they process the news of Bob's passing."

The group later paid tribute on 2 December via Instagram, writing: "It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Bob Bryar, our former bandmate and an important part of the history of My Chemical Romance. We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family at this time. May he rest in peace."

Bob joined My Chemical Romance in 2004, shortly after the release of their album 'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge', replacing original drummer Matt Pelissier.

He performed with the band until his departure in 2010 and played on their 2006 album 'The Black Parade' - and contributed to material for the band's 2010 album 'Danger Days' before his exit, according to Kerrang!.

Before joining the band, Bob studied sound engineering at the University of Florida and worked as a sound engineer for Thrice and The Used, forming a friendship with My Chemical Romance during their tour with the latter in 2004.

Following his departure, rhythm guitarist Frank Iero wrote on the band's blog: "As of four weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways.

"This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours, and expect you all to do the same."
