    Police have recovered a paintball gun - in the dramatic arrest of three people on Auckland Karangahape Road

    20 February 2025
    Police received information a man was carrying a firearm on Herne Bay's Hamilton Road about 1:30pm.

    He was tracked in a vehicle that armed officers stopped on K-Road - and a passenger unsuccessfully tried running to another vehicle.

    A 35-year-old man, with an outstanding arrest warrant, has been apprehended with two others from the vehicle.
