    *GALE WARNING IN FORCE*

    Thursday:
    Northwest 25 knots. Changing to southerly 30 knots late evening. Sea rough. Northwest swell 2 metres north of Cape Terawhiti, easing. Southerly swell 1 metre developing. Poor visibility in showers. Thunderstorms possible in the south.

    Friday:
    Southerly 35 knots, easing to 25 knots in the morning. Becoming variable 10 knots in the evening. Very rough sea easing. Southerly swell 1 metre. Fair visibility in a few showers, clearing in the morning.

    Saturday:
    Northeast 10 knots but northerly 20 knots south of Cape Terawhiti. Rising to northerly 25 knots everywhere in the morning. Sea becoming rough. Moderate southerly swell dying out.

    Sunday:
    Northerly 30 knots, rising to 40 knots for a time in the morning. Sea becoming very rough for a time. Northerly swell becoming moderate.

    Monday:
    Northerly 35 knots, easing to 25 knots late. Very rough sea easing. Moderate northerly swell easing.
