Tomorrow, a moist northwesterly flow spreads across the country, with several embedded fronts affecting much of New Zealand. Embedded fronts in the moist northwesterly flow continue to affect the country on Sunday. On Monday, a front lies over the North Island, while a ridge moves onto the South Island. The front moves away to the east on Tuesday, as the ridge extends over the North Island. Forecast for Inshore waters from Lyttelton Harbour to the Waimakariri River mouth Nil warnings Friday: Northerly 20 knots, easing to 10 knots this morning, then rising to northerly 15 knots for a time this afternoon and early evening. Moderate sea easing this morning. Mainly fine. High cloud. Saturday: Northerly 10 knots, rising to 15 knots in the morning. Fine. Sunday: Northeast 10 knots, changing westerly 20 knots early. Easing to variable 5 knots late. Fine. Monday: Variable 5 knots, becoming northeast 15 knots early. Turning southerly 10 knots later. Rain developing.
