The low and its associated fronts move onto the country tomorrow. On Thursday the deep low moves to the southwest of the South Island, while an associated trough moves north over the South Island and onto central New Zealand. During Friday, the trough moves over the North Island, while a southwest flow spreads over the South Island. On Saturday, a high over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the country. Forecast issued at 0417hrs Tuesday 01-Apr-2025 Valid to 7 am Tuesday for Inshore waters from Lyttelton Harbour to the Waimakariri River mouth. Tuesday: Variable 5 knots.
