On Monday a ridge of high pressure moves onto the north of the country, while a northwest flow develops over the South Island. On Tuesday, the ridge of high pressure weakens over northern New Zealand, and a northwest flow covers the remainder of the country. During Wednesday, a large low pressure system in the Tasman Sea moves onto New Zealand. Forecast issued at 1634hrs Saturday 31-May-2025 Valid to 8 pm Saturday for Inshore waters from Lyttelton Harbour to the Waimakariri River mouth.
