On Friday morning, the front moves east of the country. A trough moves northwards across central and northern New Zealand on Saturday, followed by southerlies and a period of rain. On Sunday and Monday, a ridge of high pressure builds across the South Island, while southerlies continue over the North Island. Forecast issued at 1128hrs Thursday 03-Jul-2025 Valid to 1 pm Thursday for The Bay of Islands and inshore waters from Cape Brett to the Poor Knights Islands to Bream Head. Gale warning.
